My Magazine Assignment.

I have been assigned by Sue, to study photography of different magazines and different topics in magazines. I have then been asked to do some research and look into it as well as take the formats used to produce these pictures and take some photos myself similar to the ones I have been studying. I have chosen to cover and re-photograph Street photography from the magazine 'Elle'. I will begin by giving examples and doing research on existing posts and pages from Elle itself and describing how I will achieve this. 

Elle is a worldwide lifestyle magazine that covers fashion, health, beauty and entertainment. I have chosen to focus on the 'Street Style' section of the magazine. Elle both have online versions and magazine versions of street styles and I will be focusing mainly on the online as that's how I would like to submit the photos I take of my own 'Street Style' and would like to write about them the way Elle online does. To begin, Elle goes through a process to complete this section of the magazine. Elle go out to fashion events and music events to see what people are wearing and what is 'in' for the season. I have decided that when I take my street photography and find people to photograph, I will have to visit a fashion event to find the right outfits that I may be looking for. Elle also section out their different visits or looks. For example on the website, they have them sectioned out from where they have visited a festival to where they have taken images abroad being worldwide. As I take my photos I too, will have my final images sectioned into different categories. 

When I hand in my final assignment, I will assure I have 2 different categories, with at least 11 photos in each category. I will also write 3/4 sentences to evaluate each outfit and why it works. 

On the side of the picture, Elle write a short description. The age of the person being photographed, the Name and where they have bought their items from. I too, will include this information along with a short summary of the type of look describing it.
